Chappell’s began with a single idea: a black tee and a white tee are the two hardest-working pieces anyone owns. We make ours thick, soft and true — and that was the whole lineup at first.
Today it’s crew necks, V necks, socks and bracelets, sized for women, men and kids. Still black, still white, still built to be worn every single day.

Sy’s story
A bag of beads,
and a gift she found in them.
Sy picked up a bag of beads one day at a department store and she just began. In that first handful she recognized a gift — a talent she didn’t know she had. And a friend noticed her talent early on, too; that encouragement helped her a lot.
Her very first bracelet was made to honor her cousin, Anthony Brown Ortiga Junior, who passed away.
The bracelet became a habit and a hobby. Now she makes them for fun — and in memory of Anthony — every single day. Each one is unique, sized to fit and customized by hand, and they can all be purchased right here on the website.
She’s very good at what she does, and she does it all day long. Her craft has enhanced the family’s clothing business, so the tees and the bracelets came together as one brand. I’m just amazed at how far she’s come — I’m very proud of her.
Every bracelet is handmade by Sy — she finds exactly what you want, makes it fit, and makes it right before it ships.
